Mandarin Oriental Bangkok–Family Review

Have you seen the wonderful hotel we stayed in Bangkok? Here’s the Review on Mandarin Oriental Service & Rooms. I thought for Part 2, I’d share why it is a family friendly hotel.

First up. Read this from The Nation, 29 Nov 2013, Best Summon the ButlerOriental accolade

How’s that? Best hotel in this planet! Wow, I’ve not come across this bold claim ever! And having stayed at the hotel, it’s no wonder! And Chatchai, the famed butler served our family!! He has 37 years of experience as a butler, and served royalty, celebrities, politicians and ordinary folks like us!

The hotel is accessible by road and by the river. That is a big bonus for us! The kids got to enjoy shuttle ferry rides along the Chao Phraya River, which is a daily event for the Thais living across the river, and more importantly, is part of the historical experience when one visits Bangkok.

The kids were always seen as important as we adults. The staff spoke to them like they mattered and took into consideration their needs. From little bedroom slippers & customised sized bathrobes to the lift attendant recognising which floor their rooms are, to the butler knowing which room they are in, our kids had a super blast there!

Then the little touches:elephant art

This pebble art changes daily!! You can imagine how much fun the kids had running to the gardens to check out what’s appearing for the day!

Here’s leaving you with two pretty photos of the Grand Dame of Bangkok. We miss you lots! Really.

The Mandarin Oriental sponsored the family suite. All opinions are 100% my own.
